1. any one of various upright or climbing shrubs or vines with white, yellow, pink, scarlet, red, or purple, often fragrant, tubular flowers, that are succeeded by sweetish red, purple, yellow, white, black, or blue berries, such as the woodbine and trumpet honeysuckle. Honeysuckle is native to the temperate parts of both hemispheres. It belongs to the honeysuckle family.
2. any one of various similar shrubs or plants.
3. Obsolete or Dialect. clover.
